ABOUT BRICKS: ORGANIZATION
For the strategic management, a BRICKS Management Board has been formed consisting of the director of CWI (administrator) and the directors/deans of the consortium members NWO, TUD, TU/e, UT, and UU. The Management Board is presided by the director of CWI. The director of the NWO Council of Physical Sciences will act as vice-president.

For the operational management, a Project Board has been formed. The Project Board is also presided by the director of CWI and has as members key researchers also acting as a research project leader.

The BRICKS Advisory Board has been installed for advice at all levels, including strategic management issues such as co-operations, transfer of knowledge, anchoring for the future, setting up new initiatives, etc.

The figure below shows the overall organization of the BRICKS consortium.

At the lowest level (orange boxes) eleven research projects are embedded in the NOAG-i themes PDC, MSV, IS and AFM. Some of these research projects consist out of several subprojects.

The open BRICKS/FOCUS program has resulted in ten projects which are accommodated within the four research themes. Within the BRICKS program as a whole there are twenty two individual projects; each with its own research questions.
